Programing Happiness Leadership

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The most important and valuable resource in any school district is the people who work there. How valuable the people are is based on how effective the people are at working together and how productive each person is in their specific role. Over the last decade, research in the field of Positive Psychology has revealed that people are more productive when they are experiencing a state of wellbeing. In other words: when they are happy. More importantly, the research reveals that individuals can improve their wellbeing by implementing some simple strategies and have a positive cascade effect on the others around them.

In this session, attendees will learn the basic concepts of Positive Psychology and the implications for educational leadership. They will also experience a variety of technology-based resources to learn and internalize wellbeing strategies. The session will focus on the importance of the supervisor/ employee relationship and its impact on productivity. Attendees will leave with a plan to implement a wellbeing development program to improve productivity.
