Effective technology integration requires more than access to up-to-date hardware and a robust infrastructure.
Teachers must understand and apply the complex interrelationships of three components of knowledge—technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge—when planning technology-supported activities. They must also be aware of their own level of technology use and the ISTE standards for students. Administrators must be able to recognize and support instruction based on these frameworks. Attend this workshop to:
- Review the TPAC K framework and sample activities.
- Examine the SAMR model to determine personal levels of technology use.
- Explore the C ommon C ore State Standards' relationship with technology-supported instruction
- Identify waysto incorporate these frameworks into existing lesson plan templates.
